48 Hour Film Project: Louisville
This past weekend the 48 Hour Film Project made a stop in Louisville. Instead of simply attending the screenings and reporting on our findings we went the extra mile and made a film.
For those unfamiliar with the contest here’s how it works: I arrived at 21c on Friday evening for the official kickoff and drew a genre out of a hat. Our team selected the fantasy genre. At the event we were given a prop (three ring binder), character (Bert George, gardener) and line of dialogue (Tell them Joe sent you). After departing from the kickoff event we had to write, film, and edit a five to seven minute short film. This entire process had to be completed in forty-eight hours.
The film was screened at Village 8 Theaters (Group C) on Wednesday July 22 @ 9PM and Thursday July 23 @ 715PM.
Below is our entry:
…. Before I unveil the film I want to give a special thanks to Brian Beyke for allowing us to use his music in the movie, it really brought the film together.
