After spending the past year in our amazing city, recording with Kevin Ratterman at La La Land and soaking in the scene, Jake Shears took to the Zanzabar for his first performance in several years. In a testament to his fondness for Louisville, Jake chose our fair city to share live for the first time ever an entire record worth of new music. Joined by Louisville's own Dave Givan and Craig Pfunder (VHS or Beta), Jake performed much of the aforementioned new album, along with an assortment of Scissor Sister's greatest hits. I haven't bootlegged a show since the days of recording Fuel shows at Jillian's in the early 2000's but I really wish I had recorded Jake's show. With no publicly available versions of any of the new material, I would pay a small fortune for even the shittiest bootleg of the show. Photos from the evening are below.
